About Kelly

I am a 40-something year old runner who works as an accountant during the day.   My nights and weekends are spent with my incredible husband Clark (aka Ryan Hall) and two mutts Fred and Ginger.    In addition to running, I have a passion for travel, nutrition and maintaining a healthy lifestyle that will allow me to enjoy life to its fullest.


  • I try to live by the 80/20 rule.   80% clean eating and 20% not so clean food (and drinks).

Running and Exercise

  • I became somewhat obsessed with running while training for a half marathon in 2009.   I learned to love the long runs because it taught me to push myself to run more miles then I ever thought possible at one time.
  • I am the slower half of the 2chix, but I am working on increasing my speed.  I am learning that good nutrition and  a healthy weight seem to be a key componants in speeding up.
  • Cross Training is becoming more and more important to me since I have had some running injuries.   Spinning, Barre Class, Hiking, kayaking and Paddleboarding (SUPing)  are all things I enjoy doing, although running will always be my favorite form of cardio.

I’m a 42 year old wife, mom of two amazing girls, and part-time nurse anesthetist.

I’d always been an on-again, off-again runner, but started running seriously three years ago. Shortly thereafter, Kelly convinced me to sign up for a half marathon, and that was the turning point at which running became a passion for me.

Since then I’ve run two marathons and a whole lot of halfs.

Why I love running
….it is my friend, although with that, we’ve had some fights.
….it has surprised me with how far I’ve been able to push myself.
….it has introduced me to Lululemon. Just kidding. Kind of.

I truly believe that with a lot of hard work and believing in yourself, you can make your dreams come true!
