Taper Week and Something Exciting

Tapering this week for the Emerald City Half on Sunday.

Here’s how my week went:

Monday: 4 hot and hilly miles with Ryan after work. Followed by a glass of wine (or two) with Kelly. Guess which was the best part?

Tuesday: First day back to school! I know everyone says this, but I feel like time is passing by so quickly these days. The tide is beginning to turn. For the first time, crayons were not an item on the school supply list for either of the girls. For the first time, my sixth grader (sixth grader?!) was embarrassed when I was taking first day of school photos. I did it anyway.

4th and 6th grade

I drowned my sorrows in 6 treadmill miles.

Wednesday: 6 treadmill miles

Thursday: rest

Friday: rest

Saturday: 4 treadmill miles

Here is my something exciting, which I am a little late in posting, but….

I am SO excited to be a part of the Oiselle Flock Team! I have been following Oiselle and many of their runners for quite some time now. Such an inspirational and talented group of (super speedy) women. Aside from their amazing running clothes, I love everything that this company stands for. And a special thank you to Katie from the Nest who, since they were out of the regular extras to include with the above, hoped that a fangirl card signed by Lauren Fleshman and Kara Goucher would be ok instead. What do you think??

So I’m going to do my best to represent them well.

Oh, and Kara Goucher commented on our Instagram post. Like, no big deal or anything:)!!!!

Sunday: Emerald City Half Marathon. Recap coming soon!

33.27 miles total for the week

  1. Flock yeah! Oiselle rocks…congrats!
