Five Favorites Friday-Birthday Edition

My birthday was last Monday and  I have been lucky enough to drag out the celebration for the last week.    This week’s Five Favorite’s Friday are all items that I received from my incredible family and friends for my birthday.

1) Band of Horses Concert Tickets

Thank you P & K for the awesome gift! It rained the whole time (hence the rain ponchos), but it didn’t matter because it was such a great concert. For those of you who haven’t heard of them, download a few of their songs. The music is mellow, but I have added it to my playlist for LSD runs.

2) Kate Spade Stationary and Binder Clips

My friend Laurie knows me too well. I adore Kate Spade, sending cards and fun stuff for my desk at work. Aren’t these just the cutest? The binder clips have different sayings on them (Get a Grip, It’s under Wraps). The cards have all different occasions and the envelopes each have a message on the back. I ❤them!!!

3) Alex and Ani Om Wrap

Thank you Mom and Dad for adding to my collection of Alex and Ani.    I always love their meanings…this one is Creation, Oneness and Truth.

4) The Beauty Blender

My sister-in-law Mary is always the first to let me know about the latest and greatest new styles, trends and beauty products.   She had told me about this cult beauty product a few weeks ago, but I was not willing to pay $20  for a make-up applicator.   Included in my birthday gifts from her was The Original Beauty Blender.   After using it once I knew I would never be without one.   My make-up has never gone on smoother or more evenly.  In addition, you use a lot less make up when applying because The Blender doesn’t absorb as much as  a traditional sponge does.     If you are a make-up person, it is worth the investment.

5) Bianchi Road Bike

bianchiThank you Ryan!!   I have wanted a road bike for the past few years.   We have good friends who bike and we have thought about doing long rides with them, but my Schwinn Cruiser bike would leave me in the dust.   I tried it out the day after my birthday on a 30 mile ride with Tara, and I loved it!!!   Could there be a duathlon in my future?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
