One. Month. No Pressure.

Hmmm. Maybe a little bit of pressure.

Things are getting real now. Seriously though, just a little more hard work to do, then I’ll be ready!

So here’s marathon training week 13:

Monday: Hill repeats. I have actually grown to not hate them. I mean, I’m not going to get all crazy and say I love them, but I don’t dread them anymore, either. 1M WU; 5xHR; CD for a total of 8 miles in 1:15:39.

Wednesday: 11 miles on the trail, all at marathon pace. I’m doing a better job of keeping myself at MP. My average pace was 8:27, and I finished strong with the last mile at 8:12. Finished in 1:33:00.

Thursday: 7 easy treadmill miles in 1:04:44

Saturday: I was kind of dreading this one, as I knew I’d be totally solo since Kelly and Ryan were still in Santa Fe. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised with how well it went. It was the kind of beautiful, cool fall morning which I love. I loaded up my phone with about a million AMR podcasts and just went. It truly made the time fly by. M1-14@9:15; M15-19@MP. Last mile at 8:18. I was really, really happy with this run. I felt strong.

Yes, it just happens to be with my 8-year old. The girl LOVES to do nails. The perks: I can get in any time, she is free (although would accept snacks), and she actually does a better job than I would. How can I say no to that? Here I received a fresh toenail polish (dark, of course–the poor girl doesn’t have much to work with).

Saturday night we had some friends over for a cookout. I love it when I’m in charge of dessert.

Nope. This is not even remotely healthy for you. Making Chocolate Pumpkin Tiramisu is just what happens when you’re running 50-ish miles a week. I know it’s a huge indulgence but I earned it! Tiramisu is probably my favorite dessert. How can you go wrong with chocolate, cheese, coffee, and a little bit of liquor? If you love it too, I’d totally recommend this recipe–very easy and no raw eggs–(the raw egg thing kinda freaks me out). It has just enough pumpkin flavor to make it a little different without completely changing the classic recipe. It is in October’s issue of Everyday with Rachael Ray.

Sunday: 5 recovery treadmill miles in 50:09

So another tough week down!
